Got some tussah silk in a subscription box. I’ve never used it before so I figured I’d make some samplers. I wasn’t sure if it would ply nicely so I started with a regular two-ply to see how it did. Yes it will ply and probably beautifully. But don’t be me and in a rush and ply the wrong direction. Silk is VERY hard to fix if you do this so don’t be me. I’m leaving this one on the niddy noddy for the evening to settle the twist before wet finishing. Up next, tussah single mixed with single from some kind of beast…team sheep or team alpaca? With which beast should I ply the tussah?
