We had the opportunity recently to build a new dumpster enclosure for a local business. Turned out good and customer was pleased. I will try to post more so folks dont think i have retired!

So the quarrentene, not really, we had this "little" project planned for a while now. We had the VERY good fortune of spending most of the first part of 2020 on Ocracoke NC working with some great folks restoring damaged homes from Dorian. Got to live and work within paradise and close to the ocean with folks who are quite simply now family. A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM, MUCH LOVE TO ALL.
So we come home and as planned work on our home base. Here's a few pics with more to come as finishes are applied.

As normal it's been a bit since I posted work photos here. This house built in 1827 on Ocracoke island was hit by Dorian's wrath in Sept. Thanks to the owners trust we have helped restore her glory, hard work but big fun working with "The Innkeepers". Thanks to you all.

We have the good fortune to be involved with The National Trust for Historic Preservation, The Citizens Conservation Corps, Delaware North, & The National Park Service on 2 projects at The Peaks of Otter. Both of these are HOPE Projects,Hands On Preservation Experience, whose mission is to empower a new generation of preservationists through hands on experience. I am honored to have been selected for this as well as very proud of the work we have achieved over the past two weeks. Charles Bradley, Natalie Mendoza, and Sidney Jackson are the HOPE crew for this project and have melded into an excellent crew over the past 7 days. We are rained out today and tomorrow but will be on site Monday to complete the project. I will have a few more pics to post next week but for now here you go! When you have a minute to surf the web, check out The National Trust, HOPE Project, and the Citizens Conservation Corps,excellent organizations doing good works. And if you haven't visited one of the greatest treasures we have within minutes of our homes, get out to the Parkway, to The Peaks, and enjoy the spiritual solitude in these natural places.

Home built in 1827 in Ocracoke NC, our job is to refinish floor in one bedroom. Remove coverings and paint, some of which was probably original to home.
