In a world full of hurry and chaos, everyone tells us to slow down.
But some of us don't know how, or what that actually means.
Start small.
1. Set aside a small amount of time. 15 minutes is a good start.
2. Choose an activity that brings you peace, happiness, or both.
3. Do not interrupt this moment until your time is up.
Not sure what activity to do?
Heres a list of my favorites...
• read something meaningful.
• listen to an inspirational podcast.
• journal (still a struggle for me) but list your current feelings at the very least.
• meditate (don't know how? YouTube!)
• sit quietly, and very still for the whole time
• repeat a mantra that you feel you need (make one up) or look for a list of them online. (My favorite, I believe something amazing is going to happen to me today)
• regulate your feelings (weighted blanket, regular blanket wrapped tightly while laying flat on the floor, eyes closed
• touch some grass or hug a tree
• stare in the mirror and cry if you have to release feelings blocking peace.
• pray
• of course, light a tealight or burn an incense to add instant peace and happiness
