📕 Story time Sunday 📕
✏️ When I first started woodworking, I didn’t have a fancy shop, expensive tools, or a big business plan.
I had a borrowed $20 Skil saw, a Harbor Freight Sawzall, a hand-me-down Black & Decker cordless drill, and a vision. I wanted to build custom furniture that you simply couldn’t buy in a store.
I’d walk into hardware stores and buy mismatched screws in bulk—whatever was cheapest that day. My sandpaper was often “borrowed” from the job I was working at back then. Looking back, it wasn’t much, but it was enough.
I didn’t wait until I had the perfect setup. I just started building with what I had.
There were plenty of mistakes, plenty of lessons, and more than a few projects that taught me things the hard way. But every table, bench, and piece of furniture helped me get a little better.
Today, I look around my shop and can’t help but smile at how far this journey has come. And everything the good lord has blessed me with. What started with borrowed tools and a dream has grown into a business that allows me to build handcrafted furniture for families all across the region.
And the best part? We’re still growing. Still learning. Still chasing that same vision.
