Before & After of this gorgeous centuries old trestle table. Crafted from solid old growth oak. The craftsmanship with the refectory leaf mechanism & joinery is a masterpiece in itself! The original finish was stripped and hand finished with a custom design resembling provincial European tables. Top is stained & glazed with warm white. Then the base received my layered casein paint tinted with natural pigments. The size uniqueness of this treasure, can function as an island, dining table, library/office, or workroom

Vintage Lane Louis XV style nightstands, refinished with a more natural french oak design. I love the look of centuries old oak pieces sourced from Europe. After stripping the original finish I used layers of stain & glaze to give it that french oak movement with touches of patina to imply age. Original hardware was traded for antique bronze pulls from a previous project. To give it a little more warmth the pulls were finished to resemble antiqued hammered brass. Swipe to see before photos! This was a special piece for a special client. This gorgeous antique sideboard will be used as the desert table in my sister’s wedding. Although she is family I went through the process like I do with all my clients. Design ideas based on desired style, function, and the space it will be used in. Then I created multiple samples, varying in color & texture followed by the final sample on a piece of similar white oak. Once approved it was stripped, repaired, and finished. The top was given a natural white paint glazed with a warm grey & linen toned strie. The oak base was bleached followed by a warm charcoal wash. The original hardware was given an antiqued silver finish.

Mahogany & Noir. Early 1900’s serpentine dresser restored & refinished with a gorgeous hand rubbed casein finish tinted with black oxide, roman black, & raw umber. I love how this noir finish adds a classic elegance that visually anchors the room. The hand rubbed milk paint gives it a silky smooth look with a soft natural sheen. Small areas are artfully distressed to allow the rich mahogany to peak through to imply age. The perfect contrast of patina.

SWIPE TO SEE THIS WORK OF ART! I have always wanted to use my mirror antiquing skills to create a mirror wall art piece. I found this Art Deco style mirror and the clean lines & fluted details was perfect! The frame received my favorite casein finish tinted with natural pigments. Inspired by the Speakeasy style I gave the frame a rich dark blue green layered over walnut tones. The greek goddess embellishments were gilded in silver leaf for a touch of refinement. The mirror glass was stripped down to the silver backing then given 3 chemical patinas. This gives an organic texture and movement in golds & charcoals without losing the reflectiveness. A true statement piece that will make your room feel bigger and brighter.

👉 SWIPE FOR BEFORE PHOTO Outdated Red Oak chest of drawers given a new modern Oak & Tadelak plaster design. The base was stripped and refinished to resemble the warm tones in white oak. The oak top was given a stone veneer by troweling lime based plasters tinted in soft peal whites. The original hardware felt heavy. To give it a more softer feel, I gave them a hammered antiqued brass faux finish.

Builder grade mirror refinished with a modern organic design. I started by creating a faux wood base with white oak tones and gilded silver leaf over black for the inner beaded trim. To give the finish texture with a lime wash look the frame was painted with shades of neutral grays using casein tinted with natural pigments. After distressing, the finish was antiqued then delicate edging added using raw umber & black. The mirror glass was not silver but actually aluminum. This is common in mirrors made in china. I decided to trash the mirror and silver a new sheet of glass. This allowed me to layer the silver and chemical patinas for an artistic mirror effect with lots of movement and deep colors ranging from bronze to charcoal grays.

Traditional Oak Mirror refinished with a centuries old European design. Frame was stripped and painted with layers of casein tinted with natural pigments. After distressing the finish was antiqued using tea & water spotting. The original silver on the beveled glass was failing so I stripped and removed everything down to bare glass. Then re-silvered with a chemical patina to imply centuries of age.

This passed down Hall Tree has had its final transformation with me. Originally this piece had a dark cherry finish & mirror. This was one of the 1st pieces I painted before my business. I regretfully changed the mirror for galvanized metal & painted it in an awful white chalk paint. After stripping I gave it a textured white oak grain then basecoated with a warm white. To give it that soft light oak tone, I layered 3 glazes including a faux graining technique to bring out the grain texture. The hardware was given a light antiquing for contrast. I wanted to incorporate an antique mirror glass, so I bought a custom fitted sheet glass & silvered using 2 chemical patinas layered in for a smokey crackled silver effect without effecting the reflectiveness. This allows it to function like a mirror should but with an artistic implied age to amplify the space.

Ornate french style framed mirror refinished with a centuries old texture in earthy grey & warm whites. Frame was given a faux walnut wood finish then painted with layers of casein tinted with Ivory, titanium buff, natural umber, and a dash of yellow ocher. Touches of gilded gold leaf was hand applied then distressed & antiqued to imply age. The mirror was stripped then silvered with chemical patina for a mercury mirror design.
