Sharing a little project, the Neighborhood project I’ve been working on. Think “neighborhood library” but for gardening.🌺🪴🫜
Ever notice the average novice gardener ends up with an abundance of one or two fruits or vegetables they grow? What if you had the opportunity to share those with your neighbors and then also receive back their overabundance of another item?

That’s the concept in which the Neighborhood Farmstand was created.

It’s been so fun watching people come by and check out the new Neighborhood farmstand!
Lots of great conversations about what people are already growing and what they would like their garden to become.
Neighbors can come by to take what they need or share extras they have. Anything from your garden is welcome to share: fruits, vegetables, herbs, cuttings, seeds, and propagations.

Happiness comes in purple💜
If you love lavender as much as I do, this is the moment we've been waiting for all year!

Lavender is in bloom!

Visited the in Paso Robles, and it was amazing.
I love learning about the different varieties of lavender. I’m always looking to add to my own lavender garden and grow as many different varieties as I can.
French lavender is one of my favorites and a staple in most of the cutting bouquets I create.

I also use it to create scented sachets and am working on lavender oil.
If you’re looking for a lavender plant that’s fragrant, dries beautifully, and is easy to maintain, pick up a French lavender plant for your garden today!

After a long winter under the cover, it’s time to bring this space back to life.

This Outer aluminum armless sectional (sandstone grey cushions with charcoal frame) lives in the back corner of our pool area — one of my favorite spots in the yard.

What I love most about this setup:

Need a little inspo to create a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving table?

Here are some ideas to help you assemble your own creative tablescapes!

1. Turn to natural décor.🍂🌰

Incorporate natural items for your centerpiece and place settings.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money on decorations to make a beautiful table.
Take a walk and collect leaves, pine cones, and other bits of nature to fill in your table décor.

2. Mix and match.🌿🦃

Mix in your traditional Thanksgiving items (turkeys, pumpkins, etc) along with natural elements, plants, and flowers.

3. Use layers to create dimension.🎀

I've used all sorts of table runner alternatives, including ribbons, burlap, brown paper, and even scarves, to create colorful accents at the center of the table. Layer these items for an even more dramatic effect:)

4. Personalized place settings 🍽
It doesn't all have to be perfect or matching; just make it personal.

Get the kids involved & create the name cards, or learn a new napkin folding skill on YouTube. Add something from your home or yard (fresh herbs, flowers, fruit). Look around and get resourceful before buying something.
