We survived a 4+ month construction delay and being closed for the first 5.5 months of 2022 (and I barely escaped an emotional breakdown) but this year saw our biggest change and growth ever! We said goodbye to our original tiny little 1800 sq ft storefront in Folsom and hello to our new 8000 sq ft flagship storefront. Throughout the entire process of planning, construction, buying and trying to manage my fear, I just kept saying to myself "if you build it, they will come" ... and holy cow people ... you have! The response to The Shop has been beyond our wildest imaginations and believe me when I say, our hearts are filled with gratitude. We all poured our hearts into creating her and seeing the excitement from you all and hearing all the kind words has made all the blood, sweat, money, fear (and maybe a few of my tears) worth it! From the second people walk in the door, we wanted The Shop to feel like an experience, not just another home decor store. We wanted to bring our projects to life and give everyone a little taste of what it's like to exist in a home that we design. And as much as we know about how to create a beautiful home, this new storefront has also taught me all the things I don't know about retail ... BUT .. I am nothing if not resourceful and capable of change and we are making some exciting pivots, changes and additions to how we do things at The Shop. 2023 will be filled with all the things we have grown to love but also will bring new price point options on furniture, exciting new products and possibly even some additional space to show more furniture (stay tuned) So Happy New Year to you all and thank you for supporting us and all the other small businesses out there!
