Jim Swallow started Swallow Trophy & Dog Supply over 40 years ago in his garage. He and his family provided awards for local events and traveled to hunts and shows providing awards and personalized dog collars. More training yesterday on the embroidery machine in KC. Anna is getting good at setting things up. The digitizing software is a challenge but we’re getting there. Here is her finished product from her training.

We have also been working on getting the embroidery area of the shop set up—building counters, getting rugs, organizing, etc. We’re wanting to get things set up for customers to be able to come! Our finished pics will be coming soon.

All of us rolled our sleeves up to unpack and assemble the cart and machine. I spent the morning learning to thread the 10 needles and watching video tutorials.

Things learned so far:
1. There is A LOT of packing material and cardboard involved in shipping this thing.
2. When you miss a hole at the beginning of the 15 step threading process for each of the 10 colors it takes longer (I only did that on 3 colors-🙄)
3. Sometimes you just have to try one and see if it’s going to work rather than stressing. Okay, so I stressed for 20 minutes with the first experiment ready before I pushed the button, but I finally did. I think the first on-my-own try didn’t turn out too bad!
