This beautiful mid to late 1900s cedar dresser with matching mirror has been given a fresh new look while preserving the character that makes it special.

We decided to keep the original antique hardware, which adds the perfect touch of vintage charm against the updated finish. The dresser has been painted a warm off-white, paired with rich dark stained tops for a timeless, modern farmhouse style.

Not only does it look great, but it’s still a solid cedar piece, so you get all the natural cedar benefits—durability, beautiful wood grain, natural insect repellent and the fresh cedar properties that help protect clothing and linens.

I’m just putting the finishing touches on it, and it’ll be ready for its new home soon!

This accent table was literally on its last two legs and headed for the dump when I picked it up.

Instead of letting it go to waste, I cut it down to size, refinished the top, painted the base and legs in charcoal, and added adjustable wall-mount brackets underneath.

Now it works perfectly as an entry table, accent piece, or hallway table.

Just goes to show that sometimes a little creativity is all a piece needs for a second chance.

A queen bed is getting a sage green finish with stained wood accents

Matching coffee table and end table are getting NEW dark walnut stained tops with blacks painted bases.

A accent table is getting a new stained top as well as a trendy navy blue.

🪵 Committed a Furniture “Sin”… and We’re Okay With It. 😅
I know, I know… some furniture purists might cringe when they hear I stained a cedar dresser top. But hear us out.

Cedar furniture had its moment, and while the orange-toned cedar look isn’t as popular in today’s homes, the wood itself is still incredible. It naturally repels insects, has that unmistakable cedar aroma, and deserves more than a trip to the landfill.

So instead of letting this beautiful piece fade away, We’re giving it a second life.
