Staying silent in times of injustice is privilege.
I have seen a colleague call the tragic murder of George Floyd a “mistake”. A mistake is reaching for the salt instead of sugar in a cake recipe. A mistake is turning left instead of right because you were reading the map upside down. But murder is murder.
If all this makes you uncomfortable check your heart. Check yourself.
I can no longer sit in silence so that others can be comfortable in their ignorance.
Educate, Listen, Donate and Vote. Educate yourselves if you don’t understand. Listen when others tell you they are hurting and believe them. Donate, there are many places you can give your funds to help the cause. I have included that as a slide.
When the dust settles and everyone goes home, who we Vote in and out of office LOCALLY and nationally, is the only thing that matters.

As we all know these are strange, but difficult times. I know that we all are doing our best to navigate through these uncharted waters. San Antonio is preparing for a Stay-at-home order. Although we’d like to think of our yarns as an essential part of our life. It is not however an essential business that will help the community get better during this health crisis.
