The Artist Femme I have been painting since I was 14-years-old. Thanks Reney, and Thanks to God for giving me the talent. I have to create. It's my nature.

My Aunt Irene knew my Mom had been an artist and gave me oil paints and brushes and canvases and here I am--years later--a professional artist. I'm Stephany Travers, I started painting realistic subjects. Over the years I've changed to impressionism, and even abstract expressionism. I'm seeing a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day today and wanted to join in on the appreciation!

It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Every work of art begins with the same simple act: paying attention.

Artists notice the light, the atmosphere, the emotion, the relationships, and the everyday moments that many of us walk past without a second thought.

"Modern Life Is Complicated" is part of that tradition. Thanks for taking a moment to reflect with me today.
