This was an an odd space; the area where I have hung the antique tole trays is an overhang into the room. I filled in underneath it with the bookcases and fireplace and then paneled the entire wall.

I designed this kitchen with custom built cabinets and an island made to look old to give it a lived in charm. I decided to change the height and the marble on the new green cupboard to set it off, used five shades of white and two greens (one inside the white cabinets), refinished wood from an Australian sheep farm for the island top, an antique pine table paired with a crystal chandelier....a space to relax and gather.

This bar, in a deep wall niche, has antique French doors with a new interior made to look old. I used a wallpaper that looks like antiqued mirror behind the shelves, reproduction French hardware and added vintage accessories.

What to do when you have a small space and need to put a washer/dryer in a galley kitchen? This all new design also needed to showcase the client's collections. The "laundry room" is now behind the doors at the far end, creating an angle for both an open corner and one glass cabinet for display.
