I've become a bit obsessed with FB Marketplace and I knew it's algorithm was really getting me when these beauties showed up on my feed. Could I have loved my Caboodles more? As a young lover of organization it didn't get any better than this beautiful, glorified tackle box. Mine was peach and caused quite a stir at summer camp back in 1988.

Isn't this Kitchen Aid a work of kitchen art? I have conversations with so many of my clients about where the heck to store the standing mixer. Most of us have one, most of us don't use it all that often and most of us don't have good options of where to store it. They are tall, wide and really heavy and one of the toughest things to find a cabinet home for. A lot of the time we end up keeping it on the countertop, and since they are pretty cute, isn't the worst thing (compared to say, Instant Pots which are great but U-G-L-Y). But this one takes appliance beauty to the next level. And also, please take note Instant Pot manufacturers - functional can be beautiful.

I know that the word "custom" almost always = $$$$, but did you know that you can get beautiful, high quality bins in almost any size that your heart desires for a much better price than you might expect? I know a lot about baskets and bins but sometimes the perfect size eludes even me which is why I am so grateful for all of the amazing custom vendors on Etsy. These lovely felt bins are from on Etsy. I have used them on many projects and the quality is exceptional; there are tons of colors and styles to choose from and best of all, you can get any size that you like.

Have you ever considered wallpapering the inside of your closet?

It is soooo not necessary but sooooo special and amazing and sweet. This darling closet is by designer and one of my American Idols and this wallpaper is especially cool - it's metallic! I am all about making a closet a special place and this hits it out of the park. I love how this is such a simple closet design with no clever bells and whistles but is functional and beautiful.

Organizer confession: I can get pretty attached to my clients and their homes. But after all of the hard work and strategizing is done and it's time to move on, it is so satisfying to see how powerful this process can be. I recently gave a talk about how to tame your paperwork at home and was delighted to get this message! Even in our increasingly digital times there is still just too much paperwork in our lives, right? I was recently asked for a quote about what I think the quickest tip to a organized space. I immediately knew it was asking myself "what doesn't belong?" Toys in the kitchen? Old coffee mugs in the bedroom? Foil in the bathroom? (true story). As an organizer, getting the things out of a room that don't belong is usually step #1 and doing that one step can make a huge difference. And the best news is it usually only takes a few minutes. If even that seems too overwhelming, set a timer for 5 minutes or even 2 minutes. Small efforts can yield big results over time.
