🍤🥩 Creamy Surf & Turf Fajita Skillet 🍤🥩
Why choose between steak and seafood when you can have both? This loaded skillet features tender, seasoned steak strips and juicy jumbo shrimp tossed with sweet bell peppers and onions, all smothered in a rich, velvety cream sauce.
✨ Ingredients:
1/2 lb sirloin steak, sliced into strips
1/2 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
1 small onion, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 packet fajita seasoning
The Cream Sauce: 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup chicken broth, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese, fresh chives for garnish
The Base: Serving of high-protein wild rice or quinoa blend, alongside roasted harvest vegetables (sweet potatoes, zucchini).
✨ Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips and shrimp with the fajita seasoning.
Sear the steak strips for 2–3 minutes until browned, then remove. In the same pan, cook the shrimp for 2 minutes until pink, then remove and set aside.
Toss the sliced bell peppers and onions into the skillet and sauté for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle simmer while scraping up the seasoned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese until smooth and slightly thickened.
Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet, tossing everything to coat evenly in the cascading cream sauce. Garnish with fresh chives and serve over a warm bed of wild rice and roasted harvest veggies.
