Kitchens!
We all love huge, luxurious kitchens... but sometimes reality hits, and you're working with a small space! True good design isn't about having the perfect canvas- it's about maximizing what's given, both aesthetically and functionally. 🌟
At OG.KS Design, we specialize in transforming compact areas into elegant, efficient havens. This sage green kitchen blends classic Parisian charm with modern functionality: ornate moldings, marble counters, geometric tiles, and clever storage that feels spacious and inviting.

‼️Squared boxes are for ordinary people.‼️
Yes and no.

Some people, after a stressful day, look for calm and predictability — a sense of order after chaos.
But the truth is, unusual spaces — shapes, colors, materials — awaken you. They evoke inspiration.

Lately, I wasn’t feeling inspired, so I went to explore this amazing library.
At first glance, it looks like a traditional cabin — but then you notice the dramatic ceiling heights, the irregular layout, the brutalist concrete inserts, and the vast openings that frame nature — the true gem of Mill Valley — as an equal part of the design.

Have you noticed that when you start moving — traveling, walking, driving — ideas begin to appear?
Architecture does the same.
Curves make your mind move; they stimulate your thinking.
Yes, we often reserve expressive design for public buildings — places meant to engage and inspire.
But stepping inside that library, I felt the urge to sketch again — to imagine homes that do the same.
Homes for those who seek excitement from their space.
For whom every corner is a journey — or perhaps, every curving line is a path to imagination.

🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱 Did you know that in California, you can’t build load-bearing walls with brick?

That’s because traditional brick walls — called URM (Unreinforced Masonry) — are fragile in earthquakes. They look solid, but under seismic stres, they can crack and collapse without warning. That’s why California building codes ban them for new construction.

But brick isn’t gone! Today, we use it mostly as:
✔️ Veneer — a thin layer of brick attached to a safe structural frame (steel, concrete, or wood).
✔️ Reinforced masonry — brick or block with rebar + grout inside, designed to resist earthquakes.

So when you see a charming brick facade in San Francisco or Los Angeles, know that it’s likely decorative, not structural. California loves the look — but safety comes first.
