Wow, it is hard to pack up our beautiful office at 10 Arkansas after almost a decade!
We designed it to feel like a cozy, layered, and inspiring space where we lovingly designed homes for so many wonderful clients. Its five rooms are laid out like an apartment with balconies on three sides.
We are the only unit on the second level and get the most beautiful light. Below us we look down onto a perimeter of other offices around a charming courtyard of trees, foliage. It’s truly a hidden and unique oasis in the SF Design District.
So many of our other favorite tenants have also left, retired, and one (graphic designer and CCA professor Tod Ingalls) even sadly passed away. We feel so lucky to have shared this space with them and hosted many lovely gatherings.
Our king and best advocate for the courtyard for most of our tenure was landscape architect Jay Thayer. When he retired, the courtyard was never the same. Other special friends included Ted Boerner and Frank Pontes of Ted Boerner Inc, architect Keith Anding, architect Matthias Troitzsch of id8bau, the graphic design firm Public led by Todd Foreman, interior designer Alison Damonte of ALISONDAMONTE, and designer Anthony Laurino.
Thank you, 10 Arkansas. We will miss you!
