Need a Halloween mask? 💀 SCRAP’s resident weird-object-whisperer Jake is here to help with a special and frightfully fun Assemblage workshop!

You’ve seen his fantastical assemblages around SCRAP. Now learn his mask-making tips and tricks using the weirder, lesser used (& most haunted) bits and bobs from the Depot. Think metal discards, vintage trinkets, costume pieces, and nature’s curiosities.

Nothing is sacred. Everything is permitted. 🔮

Join LaVera Wilson for Spellbound: Sacred Books 📖 You’ll transform a simple box into a keepsake vessel. You’ll wrap it in reclaimed fabric, stitch on beads, and fill it with all the little treasures that matter to you.

All materials provided. Bring your own scrapbooking stash if you’ve got one. All ages welcome, no bookbinding experience needed.

“Do you make art?”
Every now and then someone asks me if I make art.
As a long-time creative-reuse specialist, it is hard to resist the urge to create too-much while on the job.
I’m lucky to find 15-30 minutes throughout the week to attempt an assemblage, but as many of you know it’s important to strike while the irons hot.
Here are many of my endeavors in creating with found at SCRAP-SF.
Generally, I don’t follow the map or instructions.
I prefer to let inspiration fly and incorporate any mistakes or accidents along the way.
Of course, the best thing about art is there’s not a wrong way. Only what satisfies the artist.

is a treasure-trove of inspiration and like a river it’s current is ceaseless.
