We are incredibly proud and honored to share that Standard 5&10 Ace Hardware is now officially recognized as a San Francisco Legacy Business! ❤️ 🛠
Since opening in Laurel Village in 1949, Standard 5&10 has been proud to serve generations of San Franciscans and grow alongside the local neighborhoods and communities we call home.
Our mission to be the most helpful hardware store in the communities that we serve has been at the heart of Standard 5&10 for generations. From supporting local organizations and neighborhood events to simply being there when our customers need us, we are proud to have played a part in this community for almost 80 years.
Our family’s connection to the store began with Guenther Leopold, who started by sweeping floors and worked his way up through the business to eventually own it. His son, Jeffrey Leopold, continued that tradition, and today the family’s involvement has reached a third generation!
Most importantly, thank you to our customers, employees, neighbors, community partners, and everyone else who has helped us along the way. We would not be here without your support.
We are proud of our history, grateful for our community, and honored to continue serving San Francisco for generations to come.
