I'm all for a 90s summer, but my bedroom needed to step out of the 90s badly!
Welcome to Part One of this Primary refresh where I'm adding all the layered details that make it feel timeless and elevated (without starting from scratch or with a big budget).

Don’t make your porch decorating harder than it needs to be. Use a few staples that last through a few seasons and just switch out a pop of color, some textiles, and whatever works for the season you’re in (flags and bunting for summer). And, I opt for faux because it costs less when I can use it for more than one year. I had a few questions about sources so linked it all below. Let me know if you have any questions at all. ❤️🤍💙

What started as a blank room became a space for dance, laughter, creativity, friends to gather, and Harper to have a space for something she loves. And honestly, what better kind of room to create! This is one that helps fuel a child’s passion and gives them a place to make memories. Do you think she’ll mind if I come hang out with her too? 👯

Here’s an outdoor decorating tip that actually saves money: protect your outdoor faux florals so you don’t have to replace them every season for only $9! Also, you don’t have to buy the expensive outdoor flowers! These have been outside for 3 years and still look great.

I’m just a girl who wants a cute porch, without the upkeep and this little tip has saved me SO much time and money.

We celebrated my mom turning 80 this past weekend with a Springtime Garden Brunch. We planned it to feel like her: sunshine yellow (her favorite color), layers of florals, and the kind of details that make people linger, because I truly believe- love is in the details.

I wanted our guests to feel at home and my Mom to feel celebrated. And what better way to do that than in a home?Where comfort, connection, and memories are at the heart of what home is.

My simple formula (that works for any gathering):
a color story + layered touches + one meaningful moment that tells the story.

For us, that meaningful moment was a DIY photo “gallery wall” and a room full of friends singing “Sweet Pamela.” 🥹

Part 2 of 50 Projects Before 50: A painted gate, a patio plan, and a reminder that progress isn’t always graceful. 😳Let’s just say… this one started with a bit of a tumble. 😅 (Don’t worry, I’m fine — just laughing at myself!) And maybe it was just a subtle reminder of my age…. 🤔I’ve officially launched my next project: a little outdoor refresh to make it feel more like a retreat and a place for morning coffee. First- tell me what you love about your patio- I want to know the most important pieces to include- string lights, lanterns? I’ll share inspo and progress as I go — it won’t be done overnight, but it’s in motion. 🙌Less than 60 days to get a these 50 projects done before 50.
