Yesterday, I sent pictures of bright yellow yarn on the bobbin. Today I labeled some of that roving. I’ll have three small batts of this alpaca/Cormo blend available at Michigan Fiber Festival. There will also be batts in other colors and textures.

Those required to wear high visibility headwear should not be limited to cheap acrylic. This is a soft and warm blend of alpaca and Cormo wool. I plan to have these three skeins available at Michigan Fiber Festival. If I’m organized, I might have a couple batts available as well.

This is the last day of spinning for MFF. After today, it’s washing, labeling, and packing.

I spun a bobbin full of odds and ends today and made a number of mini skeins.

When the two strands of plying don’t come out evenly, I have a mid-matched end. When these ends accumulate, they get made into mini skeins. My customers use them for color and texture highlights.

These — and others — will be available at Michigan Fiber Festival.

Alpaca, Shetland and Red Eri silk. Soft. Shiny. I think it is squishy, too, but I’ll need to wait until it is off the bobbin to be sure.

I’ll have this yarn at Michigan Fiber Festival and maybe at Wisconsin Sheep and Wool if it doesn’t sell. (It will sell when the right person touches it.)
