Sometimes a remodel isn’t just about replacing finishes.

Before I ever start pulling selections like these, I’m listening for something else first.

What feels cramped?
What no longer flows?
What quietly frustrates you every day?
Or, what excites you about changes in your space?

Sometimes it’s about creating breathing room, improving flow, or fixing the parts of a space that quietly frustrate you every day.

Before I think about tile or paint colors, I’m listening for that first.
That fresh twist? It starts long before selections.

WHAT DOES YOUR HOME SAY ABOUT YOU?

A lot of homes look put together.
Far fewer feel personal.

The spaces that stay with us usually have a little twist somewhere — something unexpected, collected, or quietly telling your story.

Because let’s be honest... we all have another side to us.
The polished side.
And the side that buys the weird vintage piece, laughs a little too loud, or wants something that feels a touch less expected.

That fresh twist? That’s where personality lives.

And if you know me by now, you know I design with that ā€œfresh twist on interior designā€ mentality… because life is far too short for rooms with no personality.

Bonus rooms can easily become the land of leftover furniture and forgotten ideas.
šŸ‹
But we had other plans for this one:)
šŸ‹
A small closet became a dry bar, a stunning light fixture that absolutely understood the assignment, and a wall full of strategically placed TVs so no one is missing a gamešŸ˜‰

I also can’t even begin to explain the coolness factor of the ombre wallpaper on the window wall (mainly because I didn’t get a good photo, but use your imagination and work with me there:))))), it’s STUNNING and pulls the whole room together:)

It’s the little details that quietly tell the story… right down to a custom neon sign inspired by their favorite song.

Rooms people remember most usually have a little twist. And if you know me by now, you know I’ll always vote for personality over predictable.

A kitchen or bathroom remodel is not a fast chain of tile samples and faucet decisions.

Before design begins, we first define the roadmap:

šŸ‹ what’s changing
šŸ‹ what’s no longer working
šŸ‹ what needs to function better
šŸ‹ and how the space should support your everyday life

That requires listening, problem solving, planning, and a clearly defined scope before a single finish is selected.

Only then can we begin with clarity and direction✨ That kind of design takes time… and it should:)

What you’re seeing here isn’t just a bunch of my moments or past projects… it’s how a concept actually starts to come together.

A moment āž”ļø a palette āž”ļø exploring āž”ļø refining āž”ļø pulling it all into something that works.

It’s never just about picking a color.
It’s about how that color lives in the space… how it plays with the light, the textures, and everything around it.

I always say, it’s like walking into a friend’s home and instantly loving it.
Not because of one thing… but because everything just works together.

You can’t always explain it, but you feel it. And you don’t want to leave.

That’s the goal.
Turning a moment into a feeling that actually lasts.

Which is also why trusting the process matters… because it’s never just one decision. It’s how all the decisions come together.

And when it’s done right… you feel it the second you walk in.

ā€œSuper busyā€ … apparently it’s a personality trait now šŸ˜³šŸ˜‰šŸ«£

I went to a local market that took over two warehouses. Each was full of vintage finds, home decor and the kind of pieces you stumble upon and if you are me, feel so inspired and start listing all the ways I could design around it:) šŸ™ŒšŸ½

Is this a perfectly polished post for a design feed? Nope:) but this is part of what I do and love:) The hunt, the inspiration, the mixing of design genres… all of it! And I’m not too concerned with making my insta page always show the finished project- I love the times that show creativity or inspo just as much:)

I honestly believe that the best work (and my fave kind of days) aren’t curated, but happen over time, collected:)

Also, times with those besties that love the same thing!

Spent the weekend in 90° Arizona sunshine with two of my daughters and honestly… the reset was needed.

And if you live in the PNW, you know exactly what I mean when I say ā˜€ļø REAL Vitamin D is the REAL deal. šŸ‹

Back home feeling excited because spring projects are in full swing and our spring and summer calendar is officially booked out… with a waitlist.

I’m so grateful for all the homes I get to be part of this season. Spring always brings the fun projects.

Also trying to do a better job of showing up here and sharing more design insights since I’ve been feeling a little non-social on this platform lately. Ha.

And if you’re thinking about a fall project, now is usually the time to start the conversation. Just fill out an inquiry form in my website with the link in my bio above! I’d love to connect!

A little snapshot from one of the projects I’ve been working on lately — not professional photos, just a real-life glimpse into how this space came together.

We designed this feature wall around the existing rug, TV, and console, using them as our starting point to guide the color palette and overall mood of the room.

Vertical wall panels add structure and depth (these come in 9’ pre-primed sections, which makes them a great way to add architectural interest without a complicated build-out), while wallpaper softens the wall and brings movement, texture, and color without feeling loud.

Instead of covering the entire wall, we framed the wallpaper with the paneling — even carrying that frame onto the ceiling — to create a more intentional, finished moment.

I love adding tone-on-tone color features, and this was a great way to accomplish that look while still keeping the space calm and layered.

The final design is always personal. The process that gets us there is proven — allowing each space to feel cohesive, individual, and most importantly, reflective of the people who live there.

This is where clarity finds clarityšŸ˜‰ or rather, where we speak the same language!

Before a single wall is opened…

Before a single tile is ordered…

Before a contractor prices a thing…

We bring the entire room to life.
šŸ‹
This client needed to see how all of the moving parts —-tile, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, storage, and finishes—- would work together in one cohesive space.

Because when a bathroom has this many layers, details, and custom elements… guessing is expensive.

This 3D sketch wasn’t created to be ā€œpretty,ā€ although can we all agree that this is the jewelry to the ears šŸ’«šŸ˜‰, it was created so we could do the following:

šŸ‹Finalize big decisions with confidence
šŸ‹Catch scale + proportion issues early
šŸ‹ Align every finish and material
šŸ‹ And give the future contractor a clear scope to bid from- so we ca all use the same language right from the start!

When all of this is decided BEFORE pricing begins, the contractor isn’t guessing —- they are bidding what the clients want builtšŸŽÆ That’s how you avoid change orders, get real numbers and protect your investment.

More Than a Cozy Corner šŸŖ‘

From the soft blue chair leather that wraps you like a lyric, to the bold, modern pillow that adds just enough edge — every detail in this reading nook is designed to speak to the senses.

(And yes, it’s down-filled — because comfort doesn’t negotiate.)

But we didn’t stop at style.

šŸ’« That ottoman? Hiding extra blankets and books like a glass of V***e sparkles in a sophisticated flute.

šŸ’« Lighting? Warm and directional — perfect for flipping pages or zoning out mid-scroll.

šŸ’« Chair placement? Right by the window — because a natural view = instant nervous system support.

šŸ’« Soundtrack? Lemontine’s playlist might not be playing, but if I sat down here, it absolutely would be. šŸ˜‰ šŸ‹ šŸŽ¶

This is where neuroaesthetics meets real life.

Where texture, tone, light — every element is intentional.
Because when the space is fully finished, the experience is fully felt.

And that’s when the dopamine hits.
