Spent the long weekend making ceramics, putting up the holiday decorations, eating a delicious cake my big kid made and just generally enjoying a reset. I am making a very conscious effort this year to not only buy less stuff for my family but to buy if from businesses that I actually want to support. I see so many posts about how great an impact we can have if we stop giving all of our money to the Amazon and Targets and Walmarts of the world. I hope we actually can. I hope that our local shops feel like we showed up for them.
