we’ve been feeling particularly inspired by non-traditional fall colors lately.

this month, we’re highlighting projects that showcase beautiful shades of plum and aubergine with shades of green that feel damp with rain.

lighter misty neutrals that give us perspective without distinction or distraction.

raise your hand if you’ve been personally duped by a gray that actually turned out looking taupe 🫪

all we’re saying is, if neutrals weren’t risky, we wouldn’t get so many bookings for clients stuck on which shades of white to choose for their home 🤷🏻‍♀️

the things we always consider when recommending exterior paint colors:

☀️ sunlight vs shade
🌲 surrounding greenery
🧱 existing elements that aren’t being painted

each of those impacts how we perceive color, and how it will read on a larger scale. that’s why it’s important to study your colors as much as possible throughout the day (and night!) so you can see (and love!) how diverse and dynamic they really are 💓

but sometimes it also takes exploring a few more options to really believe that you nailed it the first time 😅

we call this the “peace of mind” process and explain to clients that it is a very normal part of the paint color selection journey 🙂‍↕️

after all, isn’t it better to explore options and proceed with confidence than always wonder “what if..” ? 🤓

sometimes the perfect color palette is the one you’ve lived with for years 🏡 when you know, you know! 🤍

this beautiful home right on the water was in need of some fresh paint, and our clients wanted to keep the same general look/feel as before ✨

we crisped up the contrast between the siding and the trim ever so slightly, and we deepened the beautiful navy shutters to stand out just a bit more ☺️ now the clients, and their home, are going to be happy for years to come! 🏡
