My advice to you as your officiant is to always have a Plan B for your wedding day. We can plan almost every detail, but we can't control the weather. Have a backup location, talk through your options, and make those decisions ahead of time so you can relax and enjoy your day. Remember, rain or shine, the goal is the same: to marry your best friend and begin your life together. Don't let the weather steal the joy from one of the happiest days of your lives!

The Beauty of a Ring Warming Ceremony.

One of the most meaningful moments I love sharing with couples as their wedding officiant is the Ring Warming Ceremony.

Before the couple exchanges their rings, they are passed among family and friends, allowing each person to hold them for a moment and fill them with love, prayers, blessings, and heartfelt wishes for the couple’s future.

These rings become more than a symbol of commitment between two people. They carry the love, encouragement, and support of everyone who has gathered to celebrate their union.

By the time the rings make their way back to the couple, they have been touched by the love and well wishes of the people who mean the most to them.

What a beautiful reminder that marriage is not only about two people choosing each other, but also about the family and friends who stand beside them as they begin this new chapter.

As an officiant, I love helping couples incorporate meaningful traditions like this into their wedding ceremony, creating memories and moments they will cherish for a lifetime.

Today was one of those beautiful wedding days where the weather seemed to have a mind of its own!

I had the honor of officiating the marriage of Jason Burandt and Kathryn Calarco today at Lakeview Beach in Lorain.

The rain came before the ceremony, and it came again afterward—but for their special moment, the skies gave us a beautiful little break. Just enough time for Jason and Kathryn to say “I do” and begin this next chapter of their lives together.
