Good morning, friends. 🤎
I think I’m still processing our very first Shippensburg Corn Festival.
I woke up this morning feeling just as incredibly thankful — and honestly, still a little bit in shock — over the love you all showed Starting All Things Sourdough yesterday.
There were so many moments throughout the day that I don’t think I’ll forget.
We met so many wonderful new people and had some of the best conversations with you. We saw so many of our regular customers, and then there were the faces I hadn’t seen in years — customers who supported us back when Shippensburg had its farmers market and I was just starting Starting All Things Sourdough. 🥹
Seeing some of you again after all these years felt so incredibly full circle.
And then there were the little moments I wasn’t expecting.
Hearing people walking by our tent telling whoever they were with, “She’s got the best sourdough,” or “Her stuff is amazing,” without even stopping or realizing I could hear them.
Those little comments meant more than you probably know. 🤎
When you spend so much of your time behind the scenes — feeding starter, mixing dough, shaping loaves, baking, packaging and preparing — sometimes you don't realize how far this little business has reached until you're standing in the middle of your hometown and get to see and hear it for yourself.
So, Shippensburg… thank you.
Thank you to our regulars who continue to show up for us. Thank you to those who have been here since the very beginning. Thank you to every new customer who gave us a try yesterday. Thank you for the conversations, the kind words, the recommendations to friends and family, and simply for stopping by our tent.
We are already working on our application for Corn Festival 2027 and taking plenty of notes for next year.
And yes… the biggest note is:
BRING. MUCH. MUCH. MORE. 😂🥖
It was so, so good to be back, Shippensburg.
Our hearts are very full. 🤎
