Oh, my sweet ET. 🥰💕💕💕💕💕
He is the best! ET has a very special place in our hearts. We almost lost him when he was about a month old. We still do not know what exactly was wrong, but have our suspicions. He suddenly couldn’t stand or walk, would barely eat, was sneezing a lot, his eye was all matted and swollen shut, and was simply lifeless. He was absolutely pitiful. We brought him inside and set him up comfortably isolated from the others in a warm crate. He was nursed literally around the clock getting his VetRX treatments 5 times a day, making sure he was drinking his chicken vitamins & electrolytes water, and getting lots of chicken physical therapy 😂. We were preparing ourselves for the worst because all signs pointed to that. It was really bad. But after about a week of treatment and TLC, he began to make a turn around and eventually recovered fully in a couple of weeks or so. Because of that time of closeness to us, he responds to us so much differently than the other chickens, even now and he’s been better for over 5 months! He comes to his name and will run out of the flock, bolting towards us when he sees and hears us. He’s so sweet and snuggly. And also spunky! He’s our tough little fighter, but he doesn’t fight his friends….just stupid sicknesses. Because he’s a good boy. 😜
