As we’ve focused on this week, living in the 605 is about community.

So as we celebrate 605 Day, we wanted to highlight community in one more way.

Earlier this week, our marketing guy, Joe, took to the course for the Junior Achievement of South Dakota 100 Hole Challenge, an event that is on pace to raise more than $100,000 for JA students across the state.

Community is built in many ways, and supporting the next generation is certainly one of them.

Showing up where community grows.

Our BIM Manager, Kyle, recently gave his time to help the Brookings Sustainability Council plant additional fruit trees and fruiting shrubs at the new Brookings Community Food Forest near the Douglas Chittick Community Gardens.

The Community Food Forest will serve as a shared space for education, volunteer opportunities, community gatherings, and sustainable growing practices, while also helping provide access to local, nutritious food.

We’re proud to see members of our team getting involved in projects that create long-term impact in the communities we call home.

The Brookings Community Food Forest ribbon cutting will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 4:30 p.m. CT at the Douglas Chittick Community Gardens.

Last week, we were honored to celebrate with Go Beyond and Augustana University as they launched an exciting new partnership to create residential and community-based opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Go Beyond is working to answer an important question many families face: What’s next? Through housing, life coaching, transportation and meaningful connection, their goal is to help individuals with IDD live with greater independence, purpose and belonging.

We're grateful to help bring this vision forward through conceptual design work as Go Beyond plans for its first residence, and we’re excited to see this important work continue to take shape!

You may have noticed something new around here.

We’ve been slowly rolling out a refreshed look, and now we’re making it official.

Over the years, we’ve grown from two people in one community to a 20+ person architecture + engineering group with offices in Sioux Falls, Brookings, and Mitchell.

Our new logo gives us a more modern, recognizable identity while staying true to who we are and what we do.
