I cannot get over my beautiful daughter and this photo shoot she did for me a few years back.

She showed up with some of her girlfriends…no makeup, hair tossed up, super chill. I gave her some direction in how to pose but I took these pictures in a matter of minutes.
-
Then she was off again, into the wild, doing her thing.
-
I miss her so much.
-
I was cleaning some stuff out of my storage room the other day and I found a box full of these t-shirts, still packed up from the day I shut the doors of my store.

I know I’ve been MIA on the painting front but I’m still here!

I’ve actually been working on baby quilts and other sewing projects, as well as knitting hats. 😁
-
Yes, I’m an ADHD queen so I get bored doing the same thing for very long. Mix in a large helping of grief and balls that were in the air have hit the floor.
-
It’s been 8 months since my daughter died and I’m still learning how to navigate life without the child who first made me a mother, the beautiful girl who made me a grandmother and the friend that she had become.
-
I picked up a paintbrush today for the first time in months; I’ll get back into the swing.
-
Meanwhile, enjoy some pictures of the quilts I’ve made. And thank you for hanging with me and staying while I try to figure this out.

While I’ve not been busy on social media, I have been busy in my studio, quilting, sewing and knitting.

I also got this commission from a sweet friend who has lost people. She asked me to paint this for her and I was so honored by the trust in me to capture those she loves, who are no longer with us.

My customer sent me this picture of my painting in his house. I love seeing the art I made, in the space it sits in a buyer’s life.
