I haven’t posted anything new in a while due to the holidays and some family business keeping me busy along with a few projects.

I’ve done similar text before but do you have a special note or a handed down recipe that you would like to keep. Maybe something for the wall or possibly a bookshelf or desk? I can use an image of your item to help you remember that moment or item in that special person’s own handwriting.

I was asked to make a couple door hangers/signs for the Wheeler County FFA banquet for door prizes. I’ve made a few of the “Welcome-ish” signs before but was trying something new with the “Wheeler County Bulldogs” sign. Every color is an individual layer of thin wood that was painted and layered up. I’m glad I was able to help them out.

I am going to take a brief break from taking orders in order to get some work done around the house and the shop without having to get projects worked on at the same time. It won’t be a long break, maybe 2 or 3 weeks at the most. Attached is a few items I finished up just before Christmas (well Noah did the birdhouse) and I’m posting with customers’ permission although I did cover some identifying information on the flag plaque. I’ve made a couple custom silhouette flags for a friend recently. These could be customized in a lot of different ways. Hunting, fishing, a car/truck/plane, army tank, whatever you like. These were flat and not the wavy flags.
