I've surfed a lot of waves with my little art project, and just like that, after setting up the dream home studio, my tools and apron are back in a little box waiting for the next swell.

Actively pursuing art feels just like survival at times. It recognizes what is true and forces you to take inventory of what you have within you, not what you carry. I have my hands, my intuition, and my instinct to create and share.

There will always be clay somewhere. Maybe there will be paint. Or fabric. Or simply a pen and paper.

The available items on my site are ready to ship and will be the last artifacts from this chapter of .

Just popping in to say hello, and I miss you. Sadly, I've been unable to work in my studio since the beginning of March. Having a ceramics studio feels like a burden at times - the equipment is large and difficult to move, clay is heavy, and the process is slow. I've been so lucky to keep it going while surfing the waves of life.

I hope to regain access and make new work again soon. Here are a few of the remaining pieces of my last collection paired with baby hands for your enjoyment.

I'm not even sure how many days it has been since I watched the Palisades fire begin on the horizon line and then drove home to discover Pasadena was burning as well. Rowan and I fled to safer air conditions for tiny lungs down south. We are among the extremely lucky - so far, we have a home to return to when the smoke clears. I hope it stays that way.

Living in Southern California comes at such a cost. The land is beautiful and so fragile. We don't treat it well. We live in the wrong places. We put grass where it doesn't belong. We forget that it is a privilege to see the sun every day.

Nature is stronger than all of us. I am devastated for my city and for everyone who has lost their homes or businesses. Thank you to all who have reached out and offered resources. 🤍

Boxing up the last of my twist vases from 2024 to send to a new home this week. I was very motivated by this complex dance of lines mimicking the motion that creates these shapes. As time-consuming as the process became, I'm always satisfied with the result of this design.

My next shop update will be sometime in February or March. I'm excited to creatively recharge and get inspired for the next collection!

Hello! I'm here to say hi with my one tired eye. The one that is half open when I sleep because I am dreaming that the baby somehow got into our bed and is about to fall to the ground. Or that I'm going to roll over on a pile of unfinished pots.

Nothing prepares you for motherhood. As I head into the holidays with 8 months on the job, I have to thank you all for making it possible for me. Being an artist of any kind alongside parenthood is an impossible dance. It is also the only way I can make a living and watch my son grow up every day. An enormous privilege.

Every late night in the studio, every scramble to get as much as possible done during a (maybe 🤞🏻) 1.5 hour nap is for him. And every time I pack up one of my pieces to send to a new home, the box is filled with more love and gratitude than you can imagine.

Thank you for supporting this small business, which is really just me, in a tiny shed, making the world a little more beautiful in my own way.
