As of today, March 13th 2026 I won't be accepting clock repairs or servicing of clocks. I may restart later on this year September/October but cannot commit to those months. My to-do list is very, very! long this year and I need to devote my time to that list. Thank you!!

Here is a clock I had the pleasure of overhauling recently. E. Planchon of Paris, France. Dated approximately 1880-1890. Every part was professionally cleaned, repaired where needed and lubricated by myself. The owner was thrilled to see it working after many years on not running!!

A German Kieninger clock movement with 3 different chimes and with a night time shut off feature. It's a challenge to get all the wheels, pinions/arbors and the other parts lined up correctly! It's a good job I really like working on old clocks and have the patience to stick with it!! It has 'Geneva stop' work which determines the amount of winding cable (in this case) that is released on winding it up.

This is a fairly modern clock from the Netherlands that belong to a couple who were born there. Her and her husband run a sucessful dairy farm here and this is another clock I've had the pleasure to service for them!

It's been too long since I posted anything on my clock page! I've just been so busy with repairing and servicing clocks as well as a very long to-do list including a lot of exterior painting before the Winter comes! Here are just a couple of photo's of recent jobs. One is a 5 tube chiming clock with a German movement, not that old but interesting to get running after many years not running!! The other is a Kieniger 3 train weight driven German made Grandfather clock which I've almost completed. It's very time consuming work that few are willing or lack the skills necessary for it. I get clocks to repair as far away as Las Vegas to the South and Provo to the North. Most of them are by "word of mouth" so back to work tomorrow!!

Just a few of the many clocks in different stages of repair/servicing I've worked on these past few months. I've realised it takes time to keep a page up-to-date and because I'm still taking orders for clock repairs and love horology (clock repairing) it's worth keeping this page up to date if only for my satisfaction! Just finished this Seth Thomas wall clock! A nice fairly original clock that needed a good cleaning!

I recently picked up this grandfather clock to service and repair. Dated from about 1910 this is a high end clock made in Germany. It strikes on tubular bells and has the "phases of the moon" showing a ship's on an ocean and also a country scene! It rotates each day.

Some client's sometime's wonder why antique clock repair's and servicing cost so much. Firstly, it's truly a very skilled work which comes from year's of hand's on experience and a lot of patience!! It can be very time consuming, disassembeling, inspecting for damaged or broken parts which sometime require custom fabrication out of brass and steel. Cleaning every part using an ultrasonic cleaning machine and then onto assembly and lubrication. The final step is to test the clock over 1 to 2 weeks duration for timekeeping and operation. As the demand for digital battery operated clocks continues, so does the demand for dedicated, experienced, honest and trustworthy antique clock repairer's continues to be in demand also! This is what I do!!
