MEET JUDITH. 🧐
Judith has recently appointed herself Director of Financial Affairs and Unnecessary Purchases here at The Earthly Eden.
I did not hire Judith. Judith does not pay bills. Judith does not contribute to the household. Yet somehow, Judith has VERY strong opinions about my Amazon shopping habits.
Every time I walk past her, I get that look.
"MORE craft supplies? Really, And where exactly do you intend to put them?"
First of all, Judith, THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Second, they're not unnecessary purchases. They're INVESTMENTS IN MY CREATIVE FUTURE.
And third, I don't remember asking a woman WITH NO ARMS AND NO JOB for financial advice.
Anyway, my Amazon delivery is arriving today.
Judith is pi**ed.
I'm considering turning her toward the wall. 🤷‍♀️🤣

Cooler days have a way of calling us back to the quiet corners.
To the soft light, the stillness, the warm cup in hand, and the little moments that ask nothing from us except that we stay a while.
This is my favorite spot to pause, breathe, and simply be.
As the air turns crisp and the days grow gentler, I find myself leaning more into slow mornings, peaceful spaces, and the kind of quiet that feels like home.
Sometimes the sweetest part of the season is not the rush of it…
but the stillness.

There are quiet corners in old rooms where time seems to linger a little longer.
Places where dust gathers on forgotten books, candlelight catches on tarnished metal, and the ordinary begins to feel a little… enchanted.
Sometimes the best treasures aren’t found in bright places.

They’re tucked away in shadows. Hidden behind old doors. Waiting on worn shelves for someone curious enough to notice them.
A strange little jar.

A book no one has opened in years.
A keepsake whose story has been lost.
The sort of things that make you wonder who held them before you… and what they knew.
At The Earthly Eden, we’ve always had a soft spot for those quiet, forgotten treasures. The beautiful things with a little age, a little mystery, and perhaps one or two secrets left to tell.

A little Christmas magic is taking shape… 🎄

These started as simple repurposed glass jars. I wrapped them by hand in textured air-dry clay, then brought the pattern to life with deep cranberry and evergreen paint and touches of antique gold.

They’re not finished yet — the lids are still waiting for their own clay treatment, and I have a snowflake pattern in mind. ❄️

One of my favorite things about creating for The Earthly Eden is watching something ordinary slowly become something worth keeping.
