What are you making room for this weekend? 🌿

Not every project needs a plan.

Sometimes the best creating days are the ones where we simply follow an idea and see where it leads.

A little paint. A little clay. An old piece waiting for a second life.

✨ What are you creating, restoring, or dreaming up this weekend?

What colors would you choose for this little salt & pepper pair? 🌿

Would you keep them light and earthy, go dark and moody, or bring in a little color?

They’re still very much in progress—the clay work is finished, but the layers of paint, aging, and hand-finishing that will bring all those tiny textures to life are still to come.

This is one of our favorite stages of creating: when the character of a piece has begun to emerge, but there’s still a little mystery about what it will eventually become.

We’d love to hear what you see for them. ✨

Which do you love seeing more — the messy middle or the finished piece? 🌿

These little spice jars started as repurposed glass, a bit of clay, and an idea.

Then comes the best part: watching texture and color turn each one into something entirely its own. 🤎

In progress → finished.

A little piece of the Pacific Northwest is taking shape on our worktable. 🌲❄️

These are still very much in progress — the sculpted details have been added, but their layers of paint, aging and finishing touches are still to come.

Each ornament celebrates one of the little places that makes our corner of Washington feel like home — from Spokane and Liberty Lake to Medical Lake, Deer Park, Chattaroy, Newport and beyond.

We love the idea of turning the places we know into something that can come out every Christmas, year after year. ❤️

Now we need your help: what local town should we make next?

The smoke will clear. The roads will reopen. The flames will become something we speak of in the past tense.

But healing will take a little longer.

Some will rebuild homes. Some will rebuild routines. And all of us, in one way or another, will begin putting the pieces of our community back together.

So let us be gentle with one another in the days ahead. Let us give where we can, accept help when we need it, and remember that recovery was never meant to be done alone.

The fire may have changed our landscape, but it also revealed something beautiful beneath the smoke—

how quickly a community becomes a family when someone needs a hand. 💚🌿

The flames may quiet, but that doesn't mean everything inside us settles just as quickly.

Some are grieving what they lost.
Some are exhausted from protecting what remained.
Some are returning home.
Some are beginning again.
And some are simply waking each morning, grateful for an ordinary sunrise and trying to find their footing.

In the days ahead, may we remember that recovery looks different for everyone.

Offer help when you can.
Accept it when you need it.
Check on your neighbors.
Speak a little softer.
Judge a little less quickly.
And give one another more grace than you think is necessary.

We don't always know what someone carried through the fire—or what they're still carrying now.

But we can make the road afterward a little gentler by walking it together.

May we be patient with one another.
May we be generous with kindness.
And may we never underestimate the quiet strength of a community that chooses to care for its own.

🌿 Good Morning from The Earthly Eden
Sometimes, beauty doesn't arrive under beautiful circumstances.
Sometimes the morning sun rises through a sky heavy with smoke.
The air feels unfamiliar. The world around us carries reminders of difficult days, and we find ourselves wishing things looked a little more like they used to.
And yet… the sun still rises.
The trees still stand against the morning light.
The garden still reaches toward the sky.
The birds still begin their songs.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, there is still something beautiful waiting to be noticed.
Maybe that is one of life's quietest lessons.
We don't have to pretend the hard things are beautiful.
We only have to remember that beauty can exist beside them.
So this morning, wherever you are and whatever surrounds you, look for one small beautiful thing.
Sometimes that's enough to remind us that even on the hazy days, the light is still there. 🌿
Good morning from our little Earthly Eden.
May you find something beautiful today. 💚

There are seasons when the world feels a little heavier.

When hearts are tired, nerves are frayed, and even the strongest among us are quietly carrying more than anyone can see.

These are the seasons when we need one another most.

Be the steady hand.
Be the gentle word.
Be the person who checks in, who listens, who gives grace instead of judgment.

Strength does not always look like standing tall and unshaken. Sometimes strength is sitting beside someone while they fall apart. Sometimes it is sharing what little you have. Sometimes it is simply saying, “You don’t have to carry this alone.”

We were never meant to weather every storm by ourselves.

Like a garden, we are stronger when our roots are tangled together—holding the earth beneath one another when the winds come.

So during these trying days, hold your people a little closer. Check on your neighbors. Be patient with tired hearts. Offer kindness freely.

And when you are the one who is weary, allow someone else to be strong for you.

We will find our way through.

Together. 🌿

— The Earthly Eden

08/05/2026

The Earthly Eden has been a little quieter than usual these past several days.

Like so many of our neighbors, life has been turned upside down by the fires. Some have lost homes, some are still under Level 3 evacuation orders, and others are simply trying to catch their breath after days filled with smoke, uncertainty, and exhaustion.

Whether your losses are visible or hidden, they are real.

If you've noticed your favorite small businesses posting less, orders taking a little longer, or friends seeming quieter than usual, we simply ask for one thing...

Grace. 🤍

A little extra patience. A little extra kindness. A little extra understanding.

We'll be back to sharing the beauty of The Earthly Eden soon. Until then, we're holding space for our community, keeping our firefighters, first responders, and every family affected by these fires in our thoughts.

Take care of one another. We need each other now more than ever.

With love,

🌿 The Earthly Eden
