🤍 Blanket Stories — The First One
I shared recently that I would be telling the stories behind the blankets I make. 📖🧶
This is the first one. 🥇
These two blankets were made for my best friend. 💖👯♀️
We’ve been best friends since we were 14 or 15 years old, and she has been with me through everything. The good seasons, the broken seasons, and the moments where I barely knew how I was going to get through the next day. ☀️⛈️🗓️
She’s seen me at my strongest… and at my weakest. She never left. She never judged. She stayed. 💪🥺 steadfast
The beige blanket was a gift from her husband. He wanted her to have something special, something made just for her. 🎁🤍✨
The pink blanket came from me. She once showed me a pillow she loved and mentioned how nice it would be to have a blanket to match it. I surprised her with that one for Christmas. 🌸🎀🎄
When I made these blankets, I thought about all the years — the laughter, the tears, the memories only we share. I wanted them to feel like comfort, safety, and love… the same things she has always been for me. 🤗🛡️❤️
As I worked on them, I prayed. 🙏🛐 I thanked God for giving me someone who walked beside me when life felt unbearable. 🚶♀️😥 I hoped that every time she wraps herself in one of these blankets, she feels how deeply loved and appreciated she truly is. 🥰💖
This is why I do what I do. 🌟✨
These blankets aren’t just yarn and stitches. 🧶🧵
They are gratitude. 🙏😊
They are history.
They are a reminder that some people are placed in your life for a lifetime.
🤍 Every blanket has a story. This one holds a friendship that has lasted decades. 🧶✨
