Karley loves coming to the Lavish studio with me. She colors, finds the chocolate and keeps me company while I try to work. We always joke that she may be a future Lavish employee someday. 💗

Expensive furniture isn’t always worth the investment.

And affordable furniture isn’t automatically a compromise.

So how do you know when to splurge and when to save?

I broke down how I make that decision in this month’s blog.

Learn how to choose high quality furniture, where it’s worth investing, where you can save, and how to create a home with fewer, better pieces.

I heard something from entrepreneur Trevor G. Blake this week that stuck with me: if you believe your business meets a real need, you've earned the right to ask for the business.

So here I am, asking.

I'm building something real with Lavish, growing into a true design studio and, eventually, a team. When you shop through my Amazon links, I earn a small commission at no additional cost to you, and even a handful of purchases can make a meaningful difference for my small business.

I'm in the studio today curating a new list for Tuesday's blog post, and everything I share is handpicked by me.

If you haven't checked out my storefront yet, I'd love for you to take a look. And if you've already shopped my picks, thank you. It means more than you probably realize.

A little inspiration from last night.

I had the opportunity to attend An Evening with Marie Flanigan at Metro Lighting. I admire her beautiful, intentional work, her architectural background, and what she’s built with her design firm. It was such an inspiring evening.

I came home with a signed copy of The Perfect Room for Lavish with the perfect note: “Stay inspired.”

And I finally got to show my husband the artwork I’ve had my eye on for the studio. So if anyone is wondering what to buy me... this is it. 😂

A little progress from a custom home project I'm working on.

It's prepped and getting ready for stucco, and I can't wait to see how much this next layer transforms the exterior.

More to come.

What if creating a more abundant home doesn't begin with asking what you need next?

Maybe it begins by noticing what your home already gives you, and understanding what might be missing from the experience of living there.

For me, that comes down to three things: style, peace, and functional perfection.

That's the idea behind my newest article, Luxury Interior Design: What Makes a Home Feel Abundant?

Discover what luxury interior design really means and how style, peace, and thoughtful function can create a home that feels truly abundant.

Before asking what’s next, it can be worth looking at what’s already grown.

What worked. What didn’t. What you learned. And what you’re grateful for along the way.

That idea became the starting point for September’s Lavish Letter, and for a different way of thinking about abundance at home.

The September issue arrives tomorrow. Sign up here to receive it:
