So. I decided to try to do something with my hair last night. It's growing out and I thought I'd try curling it. Well, I hate using a curling iron and I don't have foam rollers or Bobby pins but I remembered reading a Laura Ingalls Wilder book where she mentioned having her hair wrapped around bits of cloth. I have cloth! So I cut a few strips from a fabric scrap and rolled my freshly washed (yet dry) hair up. It was surprisingly difficult to do but I managed it. After I got it all up I remembered a meeting I have to go to today but I thought, "how bad could it be? I can always just pull it into a hair clip." I slept very well, but I am a toss/turn sleeper so that happened as usual. These bits of fabric were very comfortable to sleep in. In? On? Whatever. I woke up and started untying and removing the strips from my hair. *SPROING!* Wow, that bit has a lot of energy! For reference, my hair falls about down to my shoulder blades. This curl is tighter than Kim Kardashian's corset and is next to my earlobe. Uh oh. Same with the rest. *sproing* *sproing* *sproing!* Well, I'll brush it out and that'll relax the curl a bit. WRONG! Now my hair looks like Richard Simmons' stylist got hold of it! Ponytail! Ponytail fixes all hair mishaps. Except this one. Now I look like I have an afro puff. Wet it down, wet it down, that's it. Nope. That's not it. I give up. Guess I'm wearing a French braid today!
