"ABOVE ALL, LOVE" 🦓
30x40 Mixed Media Oil on Gallery wrapped Linen

I’ve always been drawn to staircases, their color, style, design, the material they're made of & how they're positioned within or around its structure. Maybe because they offer a new perspective while still overlooking the very same story below!? 🤔

I’m also deeply moved by the tenderness between a mother and child, Zebra & her foal. When there's connection that exists, there's something so pure, protective, and unspoken. Perhaps because it reflects both the beauty of love we’ve known and the love we’ve longed for🫴🏽💞

The staircase symbolizes the many levels of perspectives we've experienced in our lives when it comes to Love ~ solid, wavering, lost, fake, twisted, growing, shallow, deep, broken, etc..

However, No matter what, L💗VE remains the HiGHeST place we can rise to if we allow it✨🙌🏽~ "ABOVE ALL, LOVE..." 🖤🦓🤍

I'm in the detail stages of my 🖤🦓🤍 painting & I'm ExCiTeD to finish & show y'all in its entirety! 🖼 🎨 🖌 👩🏽‍🎨

I gotta say ~I know I'm not cray-cray ~ But, Like, every time I plan out my week with all the tasks I need to accomplish including my paintings 🖼, Something (those forces against us) ALWAYS occurs trying to throw me off! Who feels what I'm saying?? 🙋🏽‍♀️

Had a week long trip in our travels followed by returning with a week full of rheumatoid flare ups. It's all good though. I'm still goin'🚶🏽‍♀️"walk it out" 🎶 💃

🦓 Hims turning out sooo cute 🤗🤗 Got a ways to go still. Accomplished the underpainting & beginning first layer. Now only if I could Stop 💃🏽 dancing long enough to push through 😆🤣😂

When you're faced with those storms that suddenly rips the rug out from underneath you, in order to see & get to the other side of it you MUST eventually be willing to walk THROUGH it! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
•°☆YOU MUST FACE IT, even when you don't want to or think you can survive it!☆°•.
•°☆YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL IT, even though it hurts like hell & is ripping you apart ☆°•.
•°☆YOU MUST......~ So that you KNOW WHAT you're capable of; what POWER you Truly possess & you'll become STRONGER & TRANSFORMED into a HIGHER SENSE of SELF that you Never knew you were capable of! 🙌🏽💪🏽🙇🏽‍♀️
•°☆That discovery doesn't happen on "Easy Street" nor through AVOIDANCE nor from going Around the storm! The 👁 of a storm is in the middle, not the perimeter!

Hey there 👋🏽 - I PRaY ToDaY is going BeAuTiFuLLy for you 🌞

I'm in my STuDiO 👩🏽‍🎨 rendering out figures in a crowd. It's so crazy how a bunch of dots, blobs & stains can become figures if you really look carefully! I've always seen this way since I was little so I just assumed everyone else sees the same way but I've realized over the 5 years when I stepped into my ArT journey that, that's Not the case!

But☝🏽guess what?? You can see it too!! Squint & Look at my first picture which will become a crowd of figures like I've rendered in the 2nd pic.
