Call it Self Care, call it Mindfulness…the truth is that taking a little time to create something with your hands lowers cortisol levels and helps reduce stress.

When I’m looking for the maximum calming effect, I like to choose a pattern that’s a little below my skill level.

Lincoln’s Valentine is a great Beginner-friendly option. Large pieces and half log cabin blocks ensure that you get results quickly, and the on pointe layout gives a little extra interest.

So let’s all take a deep breath, do a little quilting and face the week with a calm heart. 😊
