I am a busy mommy to 4 lovely daughters, 1 adorable son and wife to a wonderful husband and in my "spare" time I have been refinishing furniture pieces.Most are antiques that need some major sprucing up.I love the transformation from ugly duckling to Rustic Elegance! I mainly use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and finish off each piece with a clear wax and/or a dark wax after distressing each piece.Thanks for stopping by!

Did you know you can get motion sick (like severely motion sick) from sitting on the beach looking at the ocean?? I didn’t know. But now I do😢 Other than that bad experience (and also motion sickness on the 11.5 hour car ride) we had an amazing, restful vacation as a family🩷 We went to Kitty Hawk, NC and I highly recommend it! This was our first vacation as a family since 2021! I do not take these trips lightly because I know that before we know it, the kids will all be grown and have families of their own. But unlike popular belief, the next stage of life can be just as amazing, and I’m counting on it! I love my kids and my husband so much and am so thankful to God that we got to go on this trip together🩷

If you’ve taken that giant leap of faith and started your own business, take a moment and pat yourself on the back. It’s no easy thing to start something from scratch, but it is so worth it if you put hard work in and don’t give up. Three years ago, I was praying to God that I hadn’t just wasted a ton of money on a really dumb idea. But I kept pushing and working at it, and let’s just say, my accountant thought it was a cute idea at first.After a couple of months of being in business she was speechless. My cute little idea had become a full blown business in a matter of months.
