One of my favorite pieces in Yasemin’s collection was a miniature Turkish bride box.
It immediately reminded me of my mother-in-law’s—a place where handmade treasures, family traditions, and memories were gathered before beginning a new chapter of life.
Inside was a miniature *çeyiz bohçası*, a dowry bundle filled with the kinds of handmade items that were once carefully prepared and carried forward from one generation to the next.
What made the moment even more meaningful was seeing how Yasemin continues that same spirit today. While her miniatures celebrate traditional Turkish culture, she now works alongside her son, Burat, who helps create many of the miniature kitchen pieces through 3D printing.
Different tools.
Different generations.
The same desire to preserve what matters and carry it forward.
