Yesterday, man what a date it was!!!. Of course, I heard from my babies. I was on the phone with Austin as I was headed out the door. But my car wouldn't start. Tried again, the motor just kept turning, but it would not catch. Long story short, several attempts and 1 meltdown later, she started like nothing was ever wrong. So, I was off, she drove just like she was supposed to, purring pretty so I headed north. I get north of Land O Lakes when I see the roads have changed since my last visit. Last year, I was in bed recovering from surgery. I called Dar to get road name since land scapes changed. LeLand. As I go merrily along, spitting and sputtering, I pull into the gas station I am currently beside. She smiths right out, so onward I go. The spitting and sputtering happened 2 more times, she didn't recover from the 2nd one. Stuck on the side of the road, absolutely no power in my car, and having no clue as to where exactly I was.
Ok, enough of the detailed Drama, unless you REALLY want the details. But the ending... car still has NO power, but she is sitting in the driveway, under the ccarpet. Got a ride, enjoyed Thanks giving while being surrounded by family that loves me unconditionally. Made it back to my car in time to catch a ride home in the tow truck. With the car unlocked, window partly opened, all craft supplies and inventory intact.
Bottom line, car pulled her once a year breakdown on me. All the stress she caused was for nothing. In steady of saying that I still had a wonderful day, I have to say that I was reminded of how blessed and loved I am. After a good night's sleep, I knew I had to share this story. I am the worst at focusing on the bad things in life while not seeing the blessing that are all around you.
