The thrills and unnecessaries of the Belle Epoque. They say “devil is in details”, but don’t we all accessorise to feel Devine?! And wear Prada if possible?! Who doesn’t covet blush, chartreuse,cerulean and other even less pronounceable “couleur du jour” that couturiers throw at us from the runway?! Your sofa deserves a new dress as well. And beige is not an option. Cheers, my dears, let’s celebrate the beauty of the curves and colours!

The Throne!
In my head I am that bad a$$ mother of dragons, but that’s what it looks like on the outside in reality! Yes, there is a dragon ( will correct me here and say “dragoness”), but you know what I mean. The rest is pinks and tassels.

The spiritual meaning of a dragonfly centers on transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. Adding embroidery to the upholstery work is an absolutely invaluable opportunity. With images superimposed on an already patterned fabric you can add so much more depth and meaning. I frequently use it and I am always open to customers’ requests.

Butterfly garden.
This is my absolutely favorite topic. I love gardening and living in Florida offers a very close experience with all sorts of colorful winged creatures. Back to the chair! It features a patchwork of retired fabric swatches and an appliqué on the front back. I dyed the linen fabric for it. Outside back had 3D ruffle flowers and other sewed on details. All hand made from scratch. This is one of my most labor intensive makeovers.

My tear down area of the shop is not air conditioned and I am in Florida. So I am currently hiding inside my sewing room and working on the rosettes.

Antique furniture…
The curves and unnecessary details, spindly legs, chipping patina…. I can’t get enough of this fleeting beauty. I feel incredibly privileged to be able to touch the past and bring it back to life.

Couture
As the dictionary has it “designing, making, and selling of high-fashion, custom-made clothing. It is the French word for "dressmaking" or "sewing" and is often used as a shortened term for haute couture—representing exclusive, handcrafted garments made from premium fabrics for individual clients.

And we can dress up the chairs in the latest fashion as well.
