Just finalized this beautiful floor! This was my main project out of three I’ve had going over the last 2-1/2 weeks, and there was plenty of work involved getting it all tied together.

Several repairs were needed due to changes in the interior layout, along with removing carpet and adding new hardwood in two bedrooms and the dining room. The goal was to make the new and existing flooring flow together like it had always been there.

The dining room felt like it needed a little something extra, so with the homeowner’s blessing, I added a subtle Brazilian Walnut accent along with a border around the perimeter of the room.

Nothing overly complicated or flashy—just enough detail to separate the space and give it that little extra wow factor.

Sometimes it’s the small details that completely change a floor.

This project has finally come to an end!

This custom-milled 8” character-grade White Oak, with lengths starting at 5’ and longer, has been carefully planned since the early stages of this build.

Starting with a concrete slab, I installed two layers of plywood to create a solid foundation for a floor built to last. From there, the flooring was installed with full-spread glue and nail assist.

Over two gallons of fiberglass resin went into filling the knot holes, followed by sanding and applied a. waterbased finish with added whitener to keep the White Oak light and natural.

There are definitely some hours tied up in this one, but the end result speaks for itself.

An absolutely stunning floor and one I’m proud to put my name on.

Another high-end custom home wrapped up, and this one was a pleasure to be a part of.

Architecturally designed with attention paid to every detail, the flooring needed to complement that same level of craftsmanship. This project features 3-1/4” CVG Fir, sanded, water-popped, and finished with Pallmann Magic Oil to bring out the natural warmth and character of the fir.

On paper, it was a fairly straightforward project—but custom homes are all about the details. Plenty of hands-on work, precision, and patience went into meeting the architect’s criteria and making sure the finished floor fit seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Another one in the books, and a floor I’m proud to put my name on.

Been a little quiet on project updates, but I definitely haven’t been standing still.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, bouncing between two custom new construction homes. Both are completely different builds, but each demands careful planning, precision, and a whole lot of attention to detail to create hardwood floors that will perform beautifully for decades.

The larger project has been a massive undertaking. Built on a concrete slab, it started with extensive concrete prep before overlaying the entire slab with two layers of plywood. From there, I’m installing 8” character-grade white oak throughout, a process with countless steps that most people never see but make all the difference in the finished product.

The second project is a modern, architect-designed custom home loaded with intricate details, unique transitions, and precision work around every corner. It’s the kind of project that constantly keeps you thinking and planning several steps ahead.

These are the jobs I enjoy most. Challenging? Absolutely. But that’s where years of experience, proper preparation, and refusing to cut corners separate a floor that simply looks good from one that’s built to last.

Current project wrapped up. This beautiful 5” Select Grade Hickory floor was installed using a full-spread glue system with cleat assist for a rock-solid install. Once sanded, I finished it with a waterbase system to keep the wood looking light, natural, and clean with a modern touch.

A sharp final addition to this client’s freshly built dream home.
