Welcome to A New Chapter Art where used books become art one story at a time. My business started out with a single book letter, then a hobby, something that let my creativity flow. After making my first book letter and posting it on my personal page, friends starting asking if I could make one for them. A long forgotten dream from my childhood... to be an artist and one day own my own business...

became a reality. Most of the books used in my art come from library book sales and nonprofit thrift stores. Drawing inspiration from the title of the book, each piece is uniquely designed by me. Even if the same pattern is used, no two pieces of art will be exactly alike. Using a scroll saw, I carve the design into the book then add paper to the silhouette. Sometimes vinyl lettering is added, other times I let the image speak for itself. Even the scraps from my books are turned into art - they become bookmarks and ornaments. As I reflect on my book art story, I just want to pause and say thank you. What started out with a single book letter for my home turned into something so much more. Not only a business, but a community.

Every order, message, share, and kind word has meant more than I can put into words. Your support through the years allowed me to find joy in creating, a passion and a purpose. The stories behind your purchases kept me going.

2025 was filled with personal challenges and growth. My family lost my dad, I’ve had multiple surgeries and my daughter had her first baby. With so many changes in my family, it’s time for a new chapter.

As I turn the page on this chapter, thank you for being part of my story. I will cherish it forever.
