One of my favorite things about The Canvas? You can change your design, menu, or doodles in seconds. Just grab your chalk, get creative, and when you’re ready for a clean slate — wipe it away with a damp cloth (a dry one will leave chalk residue).

It’s perfect for markets, picnics, or even letting the kids doodle while they snack. Fun + functional = my kind of table.

Our newest table model is all about creativity and versatility. The top is finished with a toxic-free chalkboard coating, making it perfect for doodles, handwritten menus, love notes, or even a quick game of tic-tac-toe.

Like all our Lily & Lumber tables, it folds flat for easy storage and transport — so whether you’re hosting a picnic, setting up for a market, or adding charm to your home, The Canvas is ready to roll.

Today she’s working as our menu sign (because why not let a table pull double duty?), but tomorrow she might be holding a spread of charcuterie or a stack of sketchbooks. The beauty of The Canvas is that it’s exactly what you make it. 🌻

One year ago today… I built my very first table. That table became The Bare model. No stain, no stain, just sturdy and dependable. And guess what? We still use that original table to this day! With the right care, even a bare table can keep showing up for you.

It’s actually become a little tradition of ours. Every year on this day, we have a picnic with that same table. It’s such an easy setup, it practically begs to come along for the celebration.

Now, meet The Canvas — our blank-slate beauty, perfect for personalizing. Its top is coated with a toxic-free chalkboard finish so you can doodle, write menus, or leave sweet notes right on the table. Today she’s acting as our menu sign, because why not let your table pull double duty? 😂

Oh, and before y’all point it out… yes, that’s a wrecked car in the background. Ignore it. My husband’s a mechanic lol 😅

We’re launching this piece as a limited-run preorder, so you can be the very first to claim one before official opening of the site! Each table will be numbered, so everyone knows you were one of the first! Preordering helps us purchase materials and build each table just for you! No waste, no mass production! Whether you’re a DIYer, an artist, or someone who just loves the look of raw wood grain, The Bare gives you the freedom to stain, seal, or paint it your way. Still foldable, still portable, still made by hand with love—just without the final finish.
