My bedding gets washed weekly, and sometimes I wash the couches, but not the rugs and vice versa.
But 4-6 weeks is really the longest I can go before I start to avoid my own living room.

It’s mainly the dog.
She’s old, and smells and it doesn’t matter how many times bathe her, the smell comes right back.
So having pets and trying to keep my house somewhat clean, is definitely a full time job, but I love them and they make me happy, so it’s kinda worth it.

I was just going to decorate the shelves... and somehow ended up cleaning the entire living room.

A little cleaning, a little rearranging, a little fall decorating and approximately 47 trips back and forth because...ADHD.

But that clean-room feeling afterward?🤌🏼

Doing a quick 10-20 minute clean up in each room, each day helps me stay on top of things and my poor little ADHD brain doesn’t get to the point of being too overwhelmed.

Ending the work week with a quick laundry room reset

I do this about once a month.
Many people say it's crazy to take something that's already in a container and move it into another container.

But this isn't just for the aesthetics.
I'm a very visual person, and it's the only way my poor adhd brain can stay on top of things.

I treated myself to a new matching dish set . . . after 22 years

Kinda crazy! I was a 22 year old, brand new bride when I bought our first matching dish set.

Since then, we've used it daily.
Over time it got scratched, chipped, and the once silver rim around each plate, faded a long time ago.

Yet somehow, I couldn't get myself to get rid of it.

The kids are grown now and every time I look at the plates, I think "I need to finally buy a new set"

So I did! 22 years later.

Now I feel like a true adult.
I'm buying a new dish set, not because I don't have one, but because I want one.
But this set takes up a lot more space, so l had to get creative.
It also forced me to get rid of some stuff that just sits in my cabinets and doesn't get used.
