Yesterday, we attended the Old West End Festival. Thankfully, we left before the mass shooting happened. It’s really sad to think that something as simple as attending a festival with your family can be potentially dangerous. Something has to be done to stop this senseless violence. This week has been taxing. I was involved in a head on collision accident with my kids earlier this week and now this. We are also in the middle of packing up our house to move this week. I’m praying that this week will be better ❤️

The way my brain works at any given time 😂 Literally, there are always at least 10 tabs open in my head. I never noticed it when I was younger, but I was always in several organizations while in school. I constantly feel the need to be on the move. It worked then, but as a mom and teacher, it hits different now. While I never got officially diagnosed, I can’t help but wonder because my son has autism and ADHD. Growing up, it wasn’t as widespread as it is today to have these as a diagnosis. Regardless, I choose to show up even when I’m overwhelmed and overstimulated because my son needs me. Finding a healthy balance is key. ❤️
