The Civil War Antique Arms that outsmarted C**t! πŸ€―πŸ“œ

When Samuel C**t's master patent expired in the late 1850s, rival manufacturers rushed to supply soldiers, officers, and civilians. Chief among them was the Manhattan Fire Arms Company of Newark, New Jersey.

We are proud to feature an authentic 1864 Manhattan Fire Arms Co. .36 5-Shot in the Antique Armory vault!

Why collectors seek out Manhattan revolvers:
πŸ”Ή Patented 12-Stop Cylinder: Manhattan’s December 27, 1859 patent introduced extra locking notches, allowing the hammer to rest safely between live ni***es.
πŸ”Ή Civil War Provenance: Produced in 1864 at the height of the conflict, many were privately purchased by Union officers and volunteers.
πŸ”Ή Superb Craftsmanship: Renowned for their crisp octagonal barrel, rich brass grip frames, and detailed cylinder roll scenes.

πŸ“œ Collector Note: As a pre-1899 antique black powder manufactured prior to 1899, this piece is exempt from federal regulations under U.S. law, making it a historic display piece for your home office or collectors cabinet.

Notable Features & Specifications:

Did you know that the modern metallic cartridge era was kicked off by this very design?

Arms history was completely revolutionized when Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson secured the exclusive rights to Rollin White's patented bored-through cylinder.

We are proud to feature an authentic 1866 Smith & Wesson Model 1 .22 in the Antique Armory vault!

Produced right at the conclusion of the American Civil War, the Model 1 features:
πŸ”Ή The classic "tip-up" frame design for quick cylinder removal and loading
πŸ”Ή Compact .22 Short rimfire chambering, making it the premier vest-pocket arms of the 1860s
πŸ”Ή Distinctive fluted cylinder, spur trigger, and smooth mechanical styling

Many soldiers on both sides of the Civil War privately purchased these compact arms as backup sidearms, and they remained staples across frontier card tables and mining towns well into the 1870s.

πŸ“œ Collector Note: As a antique manufactured prior to 1899, this historic artifact is exempt from federal fi****ms restrictions under U.S. law, making it an easy, hassle-free centerpiece for your home display or collection room.

What happened to millions of German helmets after World War II ended in 1945? 🍳πŸͺ–

While American GIs brought home thousands of steel helmets as war trophies, Europe was left with millions of discarded helmets sitting in military warehouses and battlefields. Germany began a massive post-war conversion effort.

Wehrmacht helmets and Luftschutz (Civil Defense) "Gladiator" helmets were recycled into pots and pans, original, un-modified helmets are true historical survivors.

This authentic WWII German Luftschutz Helmet escaped the post-war presses and remains in its original wartime condition. A must-have piece for serious WWII headgear historians!
