Evans’ Acres eggs came about as a business for our two youngest kids, Lexi and Bracken. We believe hard work, earning a living, and saving for the future are important values for our kids to learn. Thus, we helped them start this egg business. They have done so great with it and have gained some amazing loyal customers. We currently have quite the diverse flock and are continuing to add some more variety to them. Our chickens are loved and treated like pets. All you have to do is walk out with the blue scraps bucket and they coming running like puppies. We feed our chickens 20% protein chicken feed, barley, and leftover kitchen scraps...that’s it! They spent about half their day free-ranging in our pasture and are locked up at night for safety and throughout the morning for them to lay in their boxes. If great milk comes from happy cows, then amazing eggs come from happy chickens...and we keep them HAPPY. Thank you for supporting our children in this adventure and business venture.
