Before and After.
This set was finished in March, but it actually sat in my shop for nearly five months before that. Truthfully, I almost donated it because it was so rough. And yet, it’s always the pieces I doubt the most that end up surprising me—and becoming some of my favorites.
With custom-built bases, new trim, and updated hardware, this once-forgotten set turned into something I’m genuinely proud of.
I’m often reluctant to share the “before,” but it reminds me how grateful I am for my clients. So many of them trust me from a distance, relying solely on photos and my vision. This client—like many others—was sent pictures of this dresser set, while several people had already passed it by without a second glance. But this transformation proves just how much potential every piece holds.
I’ve yet to find a piece that I couldn’t bring beauty out of. Even when I question it, the process reminds me why I love what I do: everything has potential, and everything is what you choose to make it.
