I have been really loving painting New Mexico wildlife lately. I finished up this NM trout species painting the other day and am currently working on another one with three more species.

Playing with oil pastels and feeling inspired lately by landscape photos that I took on trips last year. This one was from a hike I did in Alaska back in July. My shop is also open again after taking a break for the holiday season. I will be listing this painting along with another new oil pastel painting.

“Truchas Storm” was inspired by a picture I took while backpacking Truchas peak in northern New Mexico. I backpacked with and , spending two nights and three days amongst some of the most beautiful scenery in NM. I had many reference photos from that trip and I hope to make more paintings from them soon.
